Holiday Inn Kearney, An Ihg Hotel, Kearney

The hotel had its ups and downs during my stay. The rooms were clean and cozy, but unfortunately, mine didn't have a window which made me feel a bit closed in. The location was superb for tired travelers like us, but it could get a bit crowded due to its size. The service was a mixed bag - while the staff was pleasant, they forgot our coffee although they were accommodating overall. The dining experience left much to be desired compared to other places I've visited, breakfast lacked variety and quality. The facilities were decent, but I wished there were more amenities available.

The hotel rooms were nicely appointed, although slightly dated, and had an odor upon check-in that was promptly addressed by the attentive staff providing air freshener. Being able to have adjacent rooms was convenient. The service was lacking in attentiveness and friendliness, with instances of forgotten requests and unhelpful responses. The location, although small and prone to overcrowding, provided easy accessibility from I-80, making it suitable for travelers. The dining experience was good, but compared to other hotels, it fell short in cleanliness and variety. Overall, the facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay.

My stay at this hotel was a great experience overall. The rooms were nicely appointed, albeit a little dated, with easy access to our car for an early-morning departure. The front desk service was friendly and the hotel was clean, but there were some dining issues. The location was ideal for our needs.
